Telechat is a social media app that allows users to share posts, stories, comments, reactions, GIFs, and messages. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. By using Telechat, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

Account Information
Name, username, email address, profile photo, and login information through Email/Password or Google Sign-In.
User-Generated Content
Posts, images, videos, stories with images and audio, text comments, voice comments, GIF comments using Giphy, text and voice messages, reactions, follows, reports, and blocks.
Device and Security Information

We collect a device identifier for security, abuse prevention, moderation, and enforcement of platform rules.

Device ID is used strictly to help detect spam, fake accounts, repeated violations, and serious abuse. If a user violates our rules, their account and device may be restricted or banned.

Location Data
We do not collect location data.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Provide posts, stories, comments, reactions, and messaging features
  • Send notifications for likes, comments, followers, and other app activity
  • Store and deliver uploaded media
  • Prevent fake accounts, spam, abuse, and rule violations
  • Review reports and moderate harmful content
  • Improve app performance and safety

4. Media Upload and Storage

Telechat allows users to upload images, videos, audio, voice comments, and voice messages.

Media upload is handled through our server endpoint:

Uploaded media may be stored using cloud storage services such as Cloudflare R2.

Content deletion and cleanup may be handled through Firebase, Cloud Functions, and backend systems. When users delete content or delete their account, associated data and media are deleted permanently according to our deletion system.

5. Firebase, Authentication, and Notifications

Telechat uses Firebase services for:

  • User authentication
  • Database and app data
  • Cloud Functions
  • Push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send notifications such as likes, comments, followers, and account-related updates.

6. Third-Party Services

Telechat may use trusted third-party services, including:

  • Firebase / Google Cloud
  • Google Sign-In
  • Google AdMob
  • Giphy API
  • Cloudflare R2

We do not sell personal data.

Google AdMob may collect limited device information for ad delivery, ad measurement, and fraud prevention.

Giphy API is used to provide GIF search and GIF sharing features inside comments and messaging.

7. App Permissions

Telechat may request the following permissions:

  • Photos and videos: to upload posts, stories, and media
  • Camera: to capture photos or videos
  • Microphone: for voice comments, voice messages, and audio stories
  • Notifications: to send app alerts such as likes, comments, and followers

These permissions are used only for app functionality.

8. Account Deletion

Users can delete their account from inside the app:

Menu → Delete Account

Account deletion is instant and permanent.

When an account is deleted, Telechat removes the user account and associated data according to our deletion system, including related media where technically possible.

9. Safety, Moderation, and Rule Enforcement

Telechat is designed to maintain a safe community.

Users must create and use accounts properly. Fake accounts, spam, abuse, impersonation, harmful behavior, and rule violations may lead to restrictions or permanent bans.

Telechat includes:

  • User report system
  • Profile and content review
  • Blocking system
  • Admin moderation
  • Account suspension
  • Device-level ban system
⚠️ Important: We may permanently ban users and devices for serious or repeated violations. Device ID collection helps enforce this protection.

10. Verification Badge ✓ Verified

Telechat account verification is not sold.

Verification badges are not available through payment.

Telechat may temporarily provide verification to selected popular, notable, or trusted accounts for a limited period based on platform quality, authenticity, and community value.

Telechat reserves the right to grant, remove, or expire verification at any time.

11. Data Sharing

We do not sell user personal data.

We may share limited data only when necessary:

  • To operate app services through trusted providers
  • To comply with legal requirements
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats
  • To enforce our rules and protect users
We do not share personal data for advertising personalization beyond what is required by AdMob services.

12. Children's Privacy

Telechat is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
